Responsibilities: The Sr. Business Leader, Global Operating Regulations Development - West (Global/USA) will: report to the Sr. Business Leader, Head of Global Operating Regulations Development & Complianceinteract with all levels of management and work closely with Legal, Risk, and other global and regional business functionsprovide strategic leadership on the International Rule needs for Visa Inc. and the Regional Rules for the International and US regions, including direction on new products, new lines of business, joint ventures and acquisitions and changing market conditionsinteract with senior management and business function heads to determine the need for new rules and how Visa should implement new programs to protect legal contracts and Visa's core assetwork on highly complex issures requiring a broad appreciation of the strategic implications of the launch of such products or services on Visa's existing business lines, regional strategies and potential revenue impactmanage a team of Operating Regulation specialists who consult with senior business function sponsors on new rules, changes to existing rules and variances and waivers to support business needsensure all appropriate approvals are obtained from Visa Inc Committees and Visa International Board as appropriate, as well as ensure all such processes are documented and managed with the global functionassist the Head of Global Operating Regulations Development & Compliance with preparation of the annual strategy, objectives and budget needsdevelop global business priorities and strategies to support the businessmanage the development of operating regulations language for various constituents; manage the development of new and revised operating regulations, variances and waivers that have strategic impact to the Visa enterprise, and be able to assimilate complex situations in developing those regulationseffectively track, manage and control activities; ensure all management information metrics/performance criteria and trends are collated, analyzed, published and summarized to help define strategy for Visa Inc. globally and regionally Undergraduate degree (concentration in Finance, Banking or Law preferred)10 or more years of relevant industry experience in the card payments arena or regulatory environment; extensive experience in Visa, a membership organization, card industry or equivalent preferredawareness and understanding of Visa and client/industry business priorities, Visa products, services and systemsknowledge of different payment marketsdemonstrated ability to manage a diverse teamexcellent problem solving, analytical and organization skillsstrong client service orientationexcellent communication and interpersonal skillsable to work effectively under pressure, be proactive, and adhere to tight deadlineshigh degree of motivation, good judgment, tact and diplomacygood presentation skills accompanied by high personal impact and confidence to communicate and influence across all levels of the organizationable to travel
