Sr. .Net Developer Contract Job in Libertyville/Lake Forest 60045, Illinois US
Position Summary: Design, develop and modify web-based applications and software to provide support solutions for company projects.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using SQL Server and .NET Web technologies.
Design and customize software according to project needs for maximum operational efficiency.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities: · Develop and provide ongoing technical support for web-based applications.
· Tasks include but not limited to :o Web application development using C#, .
NET Framework, AJAX, Web Services, etc.o Backend SQL Server database development including stored procedures, triggers, etc.· Collaborate with functional experts and other web developers/programmers to scope projects, gather, analyze and define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Design, code, test, debug and document programs.
· Provide technical consultations for developing new systems and enhancing existing systems and applications.
· Participate in technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of web site enhancements.
· Integrate activities with Information Technology (IT) departments of other business units to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts across the larger organization.
· Create and modify documentation of technical applications.
· Lead various development projects or sub-projects.
Education/Experience: · Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
· 3-4 years of experience as a web developer using .Net technologies.
· 6-8 years of development experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Strong experience with Microsoft .NET platform (specifically ASP.NET, C#).
· Microsoft SQL Server, Stored Procedures, HTML, JavaScript.
· Strong technical and/or application knowledge in areas of analysis and coding.
· Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Good organizational skills.
· High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical staff members.
· Must display high-levels of initiative, effort and commitment to ensure the completion of assignments and projects in a timely manner.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
· Ability to identify critical activities and tasks and adjust priorities to meet project goals and objectives.
