Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) installs and maintains the systems that help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient.

HBS services critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, building automation, fire, security and energy management.

Tasks and Responsibilities: As a Honeywell Controls Installation Technician you will install, maintain and repair commercial HVAC, fire and security automation equipment per Honeywell engineered drawings at assigned Honeywell customer sites.

You will use Honeywell provided transportation to drive to customer locations and perform scheduled tasks.

Provide customer service by building and maintain positive relationships with customers and other techniciansUsing technical documents and construction drawings will review system documentation, scope of work, and installation requirements with contractors.

Will troubleshoot faulty systems via communication with onsite customers or technicians, and instruct customers, or contractors in corrective actions.

Document as-built site conditions and convey to engineering team.

Download software to controllersPerform point-to-point checkouts to insure connectivity between field devices and controllersInsure software operates and specified and designedTest HVAC Systems in commercial buildingsPerform other duties as assigned.Be on-call after hours, work irregular shifts and Holidays to respond to customer emergencies on as needed basis.

Basic Qualifications: 3+ years electronics experience programming DDC systems (Direct Digital Controls) and other low voltage specialty system interfaces plus AS Electronics, or AS Mechanical TechnologyBuilding networks infrastructure knowledge is required (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc,).

Understanding of typical communication topologies is important.

Valid driver's license, driving record free from moving violationsAble to lift 50 lbs without assistance, climb tall ladders and able to maneuver within marginal spaces Additional Qualifications: Fluent use of the English language to include; read, write and verbalize complex communicationsAbility and available to work a flexible work schedule that may include assignments on days, swing shift, nights, holidays and weekendsWilling and able to travel up to 75% within a 100 mile radius of Sacramento, CaliforniaMust be able to read and apply requirements of shop drawings and project specificationsExperience with controller programming, database management, and set point changes.

Demonstrated ability to organize work priorities for maximum time managementDemonstrated quality and on time delivery attributesComputer - hardware/software programming skills; AutoCad preferredMust apply proficient skill using MS Word, Excel and OutlookDemonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with direct and indirect supervisionExperience with systems that involve Advanced Solutions such as EBI, Tridium, Echelon products, Lonmark, ModBus, Backnet or other open technologies for Building automation/integration solutions a plus.
