Special Assets Workout Officer Job in Chicago, Illinois US
Responsibilities This job can sit in within current SAD footprint.
Responsible for day-to-day functions and management of the real estate assets acquired through foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure or other means related to the bank's collection efforts which include proper and complete information is provided to Loan Operation, Finance, etc to ensure assets are properly recorded on the Loan Accounting System as acquired, ensuring all real estate assets are properly maintained, all necessary fees and taxes are paid promptly, all real estate assets are being actively marketed, in accordance with the strategies set by the Division Executive of Global Restructuring Group providing excellent customer service; handling account matters and managing relationships with multiple clients and vendors with varying interests; and collecting data, processing information, and reporting outcomes related to the performance of the organization's real estate portfolio and other assets.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Ten or more years of specific experience in the workout of multiple large (>1MM) commercial loan transactions or management of real estate.
Experience in applying creditor's rights laws.
Experience in protecting credit exposures in the context of the US Bankruptcy Code.
Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
Ability to adjust and accept change.
Excellent time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
