Multiple openings for experienced Software/Web Engineers.We have a great, long-standing relationship with the Vice President ofEngineering Bivium has made 7 key engineering placements with this VPover 6 years and two prior companies, and just recently Bivium hasplaced several more on the VP's current team.

I met with (in-person)the VP at their office in Somerville.

Great location with plenty ofon-site amenities, including free parking, a cafeteria and gym. Alsovery conveniently located near a T station.

During this meeting the VP expressed a great need to hire multipleMid-to-Senior level Software Engineers, a need that is not publiclyadvertised on their site or elsewhere.

In this mix they are alsolooking for highly technical software engineers possessing the interestand ability to become Technical Leads in the very near future: nexttwelve months or so, or possibly less for someone with the rightskills.

About 12-15 in the software engineering department currently.

Very agile, fast paced development environment with major live websitereleases occurring weekly, and monthly for the "bigger projects".The software engineering team develops a number of complex, datadriven applications and tools for a number of HIGH volume consumerfacing websites.

Mixed open source environment with a lot of PHP andincreasing amount of Java and Web Services.

VP of Eng is super nice andhas a great deal of startup experience - says "this place offers thebest work life balance, and yet we still have lots of interesting,diverse (web client/middleware/database/server) and very challengingprojects to work on for all of our websites and it still truly feelslike a startup".

VP considers himself "Agnostic" when it comes toprogramming languages.

As long as you can write some mean and cleanobject oriented code, he positively does not care whether it is inJava, Perl, PHP, Python, C# or Ruby.

Whether you know PHP or not, youshould have some interest in working with it and certainly the abilityto easily pick it up because there is a strong PHP presence here.

Thereis lots of new Java related development projects on the docket andplenty of opportunity to introduce other programming languages aspossibilities for other projects, which there are/will be plenty of.Base salary to 120k with room for the exceptional.

Bonus (10% avg)+ stock options.
