This is an opportunity tojoin a small, early-stage company that is doing very cool research inhuman genomics + developing cutting-edge, first in class applicationsfor consumers and emerging areas in healthcare and academia.

Companyis currently is seeking multiple Software Engineers, on the junior*ishside with 0-5 years of experience to work on their core computingplatform: a highly sophisticated, very large scale computing platformfor analyzing human genome sequences.

Also seeking multiple SoftwareEngineers (0-5 yrs) with User Interface Design and Developmentexperience and interest to support the new Consumer Facing UserInterface Client development efforts * a major 20 Current UI in AdobeAir/Flash, but they are very open to other technologies and frameworks.

- Implementation of new commercial-grade software modules andadapters, and modifications and enhancements to existing platform basedon business requirements- Creation of testing suites for quality assurance and debugging- Development of flexible and scalable tools to integrate information from third-party data sources for internal analysis- Development of proprietary network communication tools and security modules-Keeping up with of current issues in genome sequencing and analysisthrough journals, blogs, webcasts, conference proceedings, andcommunication with others in the fieldRequirements: - BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

Cross-disciplinary training in Biology would be great, but not required.

-High level of comfort with various programming languages (eg Java,Python, Jython, Perl, SQL) and ability to select the best language toapply to a given problem- Experience working in a Linux environment- Ability to translate non-functional requirements into technology-based solutions-Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals at alllevels of the company, as well as experts in the scientific and medicalfields- Ability to work both independently as well as part of an entrepreneurial team that may be geographically distributed- Interest in genetics and next-generation sequencingLotsof very cool and highly challenging projects to work on, with lots ofopportunity to have your voice heard in terms of the architecture andselecting technologies.

They have systems already in production, butare definitely open to new ideas and technologies and need to scale.

Compensation: competitive base salary + early stage equity.
