Software Developer Job in Kendall Square 02142, Massachusetts US
Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) * 3-5 years hands on core Java development experience * 2-4 years of experience with PL/SQL * 1-2 years of experience with algorithms and datastructures * 1-2 years of experience with Test Driven development andJUnit * Working knowledge of Java API for XML Processing, NIO,Multi-threading and Collection classes * Solid understanding of relational databases; * Working knowledge of the LINUX operating systems,distributed systems concepts; (Multi tier configuration)Key Skills and Qualifications * Database design skills * Accurate, high-speed application development * Experience with version control systems * Excellent understanding of relational databases * Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills * Strong analytical skills * Effective oral and written communication * Able to perform effectively in a team-orientedenvironment, take individual ownership, and make contributions in a businessenvironment Key Responsibilities * Work with Analysts to finalize the data models andalgorithms * Convert the models and algorithms into a functional design * Implement the algorithms in Java and conduct performancebenchmarks * Work with the Project Architect to deploy the algorithmsThe Developer will report to the Project Architect and work with otherdevelopers on the team to build algorithms and models as defined by the analysts.The developer should have a clear understanding of "Test Driven"methodology and should be able to write code that is scalable and extensible,with a clear focus on performance.
