Software Build Engineer (Test Engineer) Job in Boise, Idaho US
Position Title: Software Build Engineer (Test Enginee
1. Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Position Description: The Software Build Engineer is responsible for build execution and internal distribution of SmartStream Pro Production Print Server Software.
This software optimizes faster image processing, job workflow, and routing for digital presses.
Primarily responsible for ensuring daily builds are performed for R&D software.
Troubleshoot and resolve errors in the build system.
Develop accurate and repeatable build processes.
Build custom installer packages to patch installed software.Aid development teams in the coordination and integration of dependent software components.
Transition updated build processes to current product team upon software release.
Responsible for administration of servers and tools related to the software build process.
Participate in design and development of scripts and tools related to the build process.
Maintenance of the build team web server.
Acquire an in-depth understanding of the program that promotes build optimization.
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge in software development milestones and concepts.
Previous experience working in a software development team.
Ability to write and maintain script-based tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks concurrently and effectively.
Excellent time management skills.
Experience with networking and Windows server configurations.
Desirable Skills: 2-4 years technical education and 5 years of related experience preferred.HP Quality Center experienceStrong consideration given to those with experience working with Digital Press technology.
