Position Description: Job Goals: Full time support with responsibility for completing major projects and key initiatives linked to SGPPL strategic initiatives through the use of Six Sigma process improvement methodology.
Responsible for helping the business develop and maintain six sigma methodologies in day to day operations.
Train, coach and develop Green & Yellow Belt resources assigned to projects related to Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.
Education, Skills and Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering.
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
Formal Lean or Lean Six Sigma training
Minimum of 5 years professional level experience with at least 3 years of experience in Lean or Six Sigma
Completion of 3 operational and/or transactional-related projects with demonstrated success and financial results manufacturing or service
Technical competency in Lean Six Sigma skills: DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management, change management and advanced statistical techniques
Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, training, team facilitation, and interpersonal capability, combined with an ability to work cross functionally and across all levels and divisions of the organization.
Self-directed, team player with sound negotiation and problem solving skills
Strong quantitative, analytical and Process Redesign skills and out of the box thinker
Proven understanding of business processes.
Excellent project management experience.
Ability to develop measures, plan and strategize work, facilitate effective meetings, identify organizational needs, and manage multiple projects
Experience with displays, optical films, electronics and clear rooms a plus.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain six sigma tools for SGPPL.
Assist business unit leadership in the planning development, coordination, support, and execution of high impact (immediate and long term) improvement plans for effective and sustainable cost saving initiatives while making sure the six sigma initiatives are aligned with customer focused metrics.
Develops project charters with Champion and local leadership support.
Initiate/participate in self-development and training others.
Train and mentor Green Belt Practitioners were needed based on resource needs.
Change agent or thought leader that leads initiatives that will enable the organization to reach the next level of world class operations by implementing Six Sigma practices throughout the corporation (manufacturing and non-manufacturing).
