WHY WAIT?Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?This may be your lucky day!It is time for a change, and CDI can help!We have an immediate need for a Shipper/Broker/ExpeditorJOB DESCRIPTIONShipper/Broker/Expeditor (Hazardous Materials) DESCRIPTION: - Act as a shipper/broker of hazardous and radioactive materials and wastes for customer, including determining appropriate US DOT packaging requirements, Hazard Classification.
Proper Shipping Names associated shipping papers, markings, labeling, and placards.
- Interpret and Implement federal and state regulations and DOE orders as they pertain to the shipping of hazardous materials and wastes.
- Responsible for verifying, and performing all necessary safety checks, all other compliance checks, and final inspection of all packages prior to transport to ensure compliance with all DOT, DOE, federal, state and local regulations.
- Prepare strategic waste management plans and waste shipment/disposal/documentation.
- Position may require relocation.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Detail oriented.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills, writing skills and the ability to work as a team player responsible for project - Advanced DOT and Advanced RCRA training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: ¢‚¬¢ BS Degree In related field and/or equivalent experience, and 5 years minimum experience in preparing and shipping hazardous and radioactive wastes.
- Ability to obtain certification as a company Shipper/Broker - ACTIVE Department of Energy "Q" Clearance REQUIRED.
