Ship Pipe Welder Job in Los Angeles 90008, California US
We are currently hiring shipyard pipe welders and pipe fitters in the San Diego area.
We have over 30 positions available on 1st shift with some over time offered as needed.
Our client is looking for experienced candidate who have worked at a ship yard performing the following tasks: ESSENTIAL JOB TASK
1. Reads and understands blueprints for application to assign task.
2. Sets up work area with appropriate tools and materials in shop or on board ship.
3. Cuts, bends, welds, brazes, grinds, and/or burns pipes to fit and connect for ship board installation.
4. Installs and/or removes pipe.
5. Inspects and tags out piping systems; air tests tanks/voids; hydrostatically tests the piping system and equipment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL INVOLVEMENT Lifting, carrying parts, supplies weighing up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and kneeling.
Reading and interpreting blueprint specifications, perceiving details, and making visual comparisons.For immediate consideration, contact John Egoavil at 619-278-3037.
