Service and Parts Director for Luxury New Vehicles Forecasts goals and objectives for the service department.
Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors service personnel to improve performance through the use of tracking systems and surveys.
Maintains reporting systems mandated by the dealership and the factory.
Works with the General Manager when necessary to develop and implement marketing plans to promote new and repeat business.
Understands and complies with regulations concerned with hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Understands and complies with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures and serves as a liaison with the factory.
Accounts for and approves all repair orders and warranty documents to ensure for correct processing.
Directs and schedules the activities of direct report service department employees.
Regularly reviews daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records for technicians.
Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the parts dep. to ensure availability.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with customers to promote repeat and referral business.
Informs repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order.
Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks.
Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
Keeps current and knowledgeable of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
Ensures that service related areas and customer waiting area are presentable and clean.
