Serology Manager Job in New Hyde Park 11044, New York US
A leading clinical laboratory is seeking a Serology Manager to join their team.
Candidate must be able to take the initiative to be hands on in the departments, provide leadership to the department team leads, and be able to have a heavy focus on production while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications: BS Medical Technology preferred.
Serology experience with PCR, IFA, ELISA a must.
Three to five years of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities: Maintain working knowledge of department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Be able to perform all routine testing and analyses of client specimens within department.
Monitor workflow to ensure client turnaround times are met. Ensure that all logs are recorded according to standards.
Monitor, analyze, review and sign all department quality control (QC) documentation.
Train new laboratory staff - Update staff training records.
Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
