Senior Visual Designer Job in Newton 02458, Massachusetts US
SimpleTuition seeks a creative, high-energy visual designerto expand the design vision and brand to new web-based products.
SimpleTuition isa company dedicated to making education and finance choices easier for consumerswith a unique online comparison-shopping platform.
You are an individual with a sound design process andthe ability to develop and lead designs from conception through completion.
Thequalified candidate should have the demonstrated ability to shape the designvision for projects, and to visually communicate rich data for consumerproducts and services.
Formal design training is a must, including colortheory, typography, layout, and corporate branding.
ResponsibilitiesLead visual designs throughout the product lifecycle, from initialexplorations to final deliverablesProduce layouts, user interface elements, color palettes, typography,and storyboardsTranslate product concepts into engaging designsWork with themarketing team to provide graphic assets and production for email, landingpages, banner ads, print ads, sales materialsMaintain and promote brand and design consistency across channelsAdvocate for innovation while balancing user needs, product branding,budget, and scheduleCollaborate withdevelopment and business teams to help craft and implement a product visionMaintain awareness of state-of-the-art techniques, best practices, anddevelopments within the design communityQualificationsBFA or MFA in graphic design or related design fieldMinimum of 5 years experience in web and print designStrong conceptual, typographic, design, layout, production, editing, andprint prep skillsOutstanding organizational skills and self-motivation Comfortable working with company top management Outstanding written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility and ability to work in high-paced deadline drivenenvironment Personal commitment to high quality performance through integrity,accountability, compassion, and teamworkProficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and DreamweaverExcellent knowledge of web graphic applications and building dynamicweb applicationsMultimedia and social mediaexperience is a plus
