Senior Validation Engineer Job in Austin 78746, Texas US
Job ID: 363Position Description: Job PurposeThe Senior Validation Engineer will work as an integral part of the Validation team to create methodologies for and participate in the verification of next generation ARM microprocessors.
This position will be located in Bangalore, India.Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesIdentify design defects and work in close liaison with the RTL design team to close out issues quicklyResponsibility for implementation of a subset of the overall verification methodology Mentorship of junior members of the validation team, possibly including leading a small teamPosition Requirements: Essential Skills & Experience8+ years of design validation experience including at least one high performance microprocessor design projectApplicants should have some knowledge in all of the following areas with at least one area of deep expertise: Specification and creation of unit level or top level testbenches Functional coverage driven verification methodsAssembly language for ARM or other architectures Random instruction set generators (creation and/or use)CPU micro-architecture knowledge, ideally for superscalar processorsVerilog HDL language and associated software simulatorsInstruction set simulators/simulation golden modelsExtensive MP memory system knowledge + verification experienceDeep formal property checkingDesirable Skills & ExperienceFamiliarity with the ARM architecture and the microarchitecure for current ARM coresPrevious experience using Specman or System Verilog for creation of testbenches or functional coverageGeneral AttributesIt is essential for the successful applicant to: Co-operate & communicate well with the RTL team and the other members of the validation teamBe motivated to continuously develop skills and accept a variety of responsibilities as part of contributing to the design centers successEducationMS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (MS preferred)PackageARM will offer the following benefits for this position: Salary - Commensurate with experience Equity Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Contributory 401(k) Stock Purchase Plan Four weeks paid vacation EOE.
