Position Description: We have an immediate need in our editorial department for an individual that can create and update professional training material, plus handle Project Management responsibilities.

This team member must be able to work in a collaborative, deadline-driven team environment, and ensure Awards high quality standards are maintained.

Experience in developing and/or editing highly technical documentation is preferred.

Key responsibilities include: Project Management of all editorial projects to ensure the appropriate and timely input is received from SMEs and all deliverables are met Communication with the business leads to ensure all projects are assigned and timelines are understood Reviewing all deliverables to ensure that Awards high-quality standards are met Tracking and communicating the material version numbers for upcoming courses Creating polished PowerPoint slides based on material and instructions from Subject Matter Experts (the course developer), including text, illustrations and animation Understanding how the many pieces of PowerPoint work together (masters, slides, notes and more) Running macros in PowerPoint to create course books in PDF format Manipulate multiple files in multiple formats (PDF, Word, and more) to build the final training course book/material to the customer Proofread course material (grammar, spelling, consistency, book structure accuracy, etc.) Work with logistics and the printing company to release manuals accurately and in a timely manner Understand the relative priority of each project and manage the schedule to ensure on-time delivery Maintain course release spreadsheet Maintain inter-office library with updated course books Some evening and weekends are required This is a full-time position, based in Richardson, TX. Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor's DegreeSkills/Experience: 3-5 years related experienceProficiency in MS PowerPoint 2007 and 2003 Proficiency in MS Excel 2007 Experience in MS Word 2007, Adobe Acrobat Experience in team leadership and project management of small projects Ability to multitask on many projects Flexibility on work assignments Must react well to last minute changes Proactive approach to all aspects of the position Ability to review course books and documents quickly but in fine detail to identify errors and inconsistencies Creative ideas for improving the overall training materials Good organizational skills Authorization to work in the US Drug screening & background checks required.
