Senior Systems Verification EngineerThe Senior Systems Verification Engineer position brings a clinical domain perspective to the Verification and Validation of the EnSite system.
This high caliber individual will have significant input into day-to-day clinical impact of defects, workflow, and EnSite application behavior as well as influence early product development through requirements analysis, test design, test execution, defect issue resolution, and support of the engineering teams investigation of field complaints.
Planning, coordination, performing and/or directing others in executing test suites.
This Engineer will engage in a consultative role with R&D of user workflow and EnSite user interface design.
Impact this role will have:
Designs and maintains a clinical workflow test suite for EnSite and other integrated products that reflects current understanding of EP Laboratory practices in the customer base.
Designs new clinical test suites for new features & functionality.
Provides clinical perspective to R&Ds ongoing product development: requirements, product and test designs, defect reviews, user workflows, and field complaint investigations
Identifies and prioritizes existing tests for a clinically-significant smoke test suite.
Partners with automation team to incorporate tests into the automated build verification test.
Provides clinical readiness assessment of animal study builds.
Coordinates user testing
Designs and implements a domain-specific cross training program for the test team incorporating such topics as basic electro-physiology, EP lab procedures & equipment, field study review.
Assists with transfer to manufacturing procedures, review documentation of importance to field clinical engineers
Identifies and targets test processes for team improvement
Maintains expert status and continuing clinical and technical proficiency in cardiac rhythm management field.
Product expertise should go beyond features and benefits, focusing also on design, development, clinical application and competitive positioning.
Required Qualifications:
Five to seven plus years of relevant clinical experience in electrophysiology
Experience with Electrophysiology procedures, Ablation procedures, and Advanced mapping techniques.
Polished written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation skills
Experienced in quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills
Proven ability to meet project/ product deadlines
Effectively engages in conversations with all levels of employees, management and customers.
Excellent documentation skills in delivering information that adds value to management's decision making process.
Strong technical skill set including spreadsheet, word processing, PowerPoint and specialized applications.
Evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity required.
Preferred Qualifications:
An advanced credential in a relevant discipline/concentration such as Biological Sciences.
Professional Health Science certification or engineering.
Successful completion of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE) Associated Professionals examinations in Electrophysiology and Pacing and Defibrillation.
