Senior System Analyst Job in Kearny Mesa, California US
Location This position is located at Ruffin Road location in Kearny Mesa.
Hours 8am-5pm; variable shift, on-call, evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications Internal candidates only (Sharp HealthCare employees).
Bachelors degree in an applicable field such as Computer Science, Nurse, Health Care administration, Other Clinical degrees, Business administration required.
Five years in Information Systems required.
Previous work with medical groups, data analysis, government affairs preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
Ability to quickly assimilate complex topics and in turn be able to educate others required.
Strong analytical abilities required.
Thorough knowledge of HealthCare Information Systems and of legal, ethical, management and organizational principles and standards for health systems information systems security in the State of California required.
Thorough knowledge of national healthcare information technology initiatives and organizations required.
Summary The Interoperability and Interfaces Department in our ISD has been developed specifically to focus on interoperability.
Individuals in this position will be responsible for knowing the regulations associated with the HITECH provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment.
They will work on defining and implementing integrated solutions that meet the requirements for clinical data sharing, medication reconciliation, care coordination, and other requirements from the clinical community.
The interoperability team will be identifying and implementing any new technology needed to serve patient information among our caregivers, working closely with existing applications teams (Cerner, Allscripts, Fuji, etc.). Provide and/or coordinate educational programs to improve understanding and use of information systems for Health Information Exchange physicians and employees.
Physical Requirements May spend 5-6 hours sitting at a desk, meeting table or computer terminal Must be able to hear and speak English clearly by telephone and/or e-mail.
Must calmly and professionally respond to frequent deadlines and demands.
