Senior Strategic Systems Engineer Job in Multiple locations
Job Description: Competitive product evaluation Electrical characterization of RF Front-End product performance using all cellular air-interfaces, WLAN, BT and GPS Coordination of teardown analysis Analysis of costs including assembly technology Creation of both executive summary and detailed reports.
Maintain a WIKI based database of the competitive results Market data analysis and summaryMaintain internal market share analysis tools in support of strategic planning Utilize online subscription services such as Portelligent, iSuppli and Strategy Analytics to assess competitive issues.
Strategic planningAttend discussions with carriers and identify the requirements that they are giving to our handset OEM customers.
Translate this information into architecture and technology requirements for TriQuint products.
Analyze opportunities in new markets and make recommendations.
Analyze opportunities and threats presented by new and disruptive technologies.
Make recommendations.
Document the analysis in a WIKI database.
Attend industry association meetings and remain aligned with release standards such as 3GPP.
Identify 3-5 year trends and needed capabilities.
Job Qualifications: BSEE required with MSEE/MBA strongly preferred.
Technical RF background with a minimum of 5 years experience in the design or applications engineering of PA Module/Passive components for cellular handsets or related wireless devices is required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with customers, partners, service providers and TriQuint senior management are required.
Wireless systems engineering experience in antennas, silicon transceiver and base band is highly desirable.
Knowledge of market requirements in handsets spanning Ultra-Low-Cost to Smart Phones as well as emerging sectors such as data cards, Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs), M2M and Telematics, would also be desirable.
This position represents a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to enter the marketing organization but retain a high level of hands-on technical involvement.
