Software Engineer needed on small dedicated team to support the upgrade and administration of a database for a regional Traffic Mgt. System.
Candidate will also be tasked to develop other system specific software using C++ where needed.
Qualified applicant must be an experienced database programmer with the Informix RDBMS, preferably on SPARC/UNIX.
Experience as database administrator is also required.
The candidate must have strong knowledge of database programming using SQL and general programming in the C++ language.
The candidate must have experience programming on the Windows platform using the Visual Studio IDE. A good understanding of ADO/ODBC technologies also is required.
Successful candidate will require good communication skills with the ability to interface directly with customers IT staff as well as with Traffic Operations.
