Senior Software Engineer Job in Rochester, Minnesota US
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain moderate to complex software components effectively through utilization of technical skills to deliver high quality software, documentation and training that satisfy customer requirements.
Requirements: Develop software using Vision Solutions software development processes and tools leading to the highest standard of software qualityLead design and code reviews within a team environment to eliminate errors early in the development processTake proactive actions to prevent customer issuesParticipate in problem determination and debugging of software product issues by using technical skills and tools to isolate the cause of the problem in an efficient and timely manner.
Provide documentation and training needed to thoroughly communicate software functionalityTeam lead and/or project management responsibilities as requiredPresent technical features of product to customers as requiredQualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; Masters degree preferred5+ years industry experiencePrevious experience in development of commercial softwareStrong C programming skillsOther Languages, such as CL, Java, XML a plusIBM i5 OS and High Availability experience preferredDBMS experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write design documentation and prepare technical presentationsAbility to analyze moderate to complex programming problems and create algorithms and programming solutionsStrong logic, programming and debugging skillsStrong learning orientationAbility to produce results at a level commensurate with skill level consistent with industry standardsStrong teamwork skillsResults focused with good time management and personal management skillsAbility to flexible and handle multiple priorities or focus and provide in-depth solutionsGood self-management skills with the ability to show initiative and take responsibility for issues and problemsPlease visit our Web site and apply directly: http://jobs-vision.icims.com/jobs/1343/job Vision Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
