The team is enthusiastic and passionate, and the team frequently jump into impromptu discussions about technology, architecture, and coding techniques.JOB DESCRIPTION The client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer and a Software Engineer for the Boston office to contribute to the server-sided development of their search platform and recommendations systems.
A strong interest in and experience with information retrieval, machine learning, and/or text mining.
Strong experience writing and maintaining multi-threaded and scalable code.
QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced degree in computer science, engineering or related area 7+ years of relevant professional experience in software/SDK development using Server-side Java (J2SE).
In-depth understanding of object-oriented analysis and designStrong foundation in algorithms and data structuresExperience writing and maintaining multi-threaded codeStrong performance analysis experience and use of profiling toolsExperience with search technologies such as Apache Lucene is highly desirableStrong interest in Natural Language ProcessingExcellent communication skills, written and verbalExperience working with Agile/Scrum and XP methodologies is highly desirable.
