Senior Risk Management Consultant Job in Telecommute

Work Location: Western US Region (This position may have the option of Telecommute.
)Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: Perform Clinical Risk Management education seminars on a regular basis.
Provide Clinical Risk Management consultations for insureds as needed, both medical, dental and hospital based clients.
Identify ways to leverage risk expertise & industry knowledge to provide a marketing advantage.
Assist the sales team members to address customer specific Clinical Risk Management needs.
Assist in the development of new and maintain existing business by engaging with customers and associates.
Develop relationships that will strengthen ties with customers or prospects.
Organize, plan and execute on-site (or phone) reviews of customers / prospects.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist in developing criteria on which risk management reviews are based.
Prepare client specific reports using a standardized reporting template for consistency.
Respond to inquiries by insureds on Clinical Risk Management issues with appropriate documentation.
Contribute to clinical risk management publications as needed.
Identify and develop marketing opportunities to leverage Clinical Risk Management expertise to enhance customer touch points on an ongoing basis.
Identify opportunities to reduce, eliminate or outsource activities of the department allowing for improved efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications: BS degree and/or experience in an education, journalism and/or clinical area, such as nursing, essentialMinimum 5-8 years of experience in the health care industry, preferably in clinical risk managementExcellent presentation skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledgeable about loss control approaches for medical and dental exposuresProven networking abilitiesTravel requiredInsurance industry and medical malpractice product knowledge, with focus on loss control for medical and dental exposuresSome experience in a healthcare facilities environmentSales and marketing experienceAdvanced PC Skills in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPointTo apply: To submit resume for consideration, please visit our website at www.medpro.com or apply via monster.com.Medical Protective is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway group of businesses.
