Senior Retirement Valuation Specialist Job in LOUISVILLE 40202, Kentucky US
A Senior Retirement Valuation Specialist will take responsibility for managing and ensuring the valuation process and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Position has advanced knowledge of the business area, as well as responsibility for guiding work and coordinating work flow.
To fulfill this role, a Senior Retirement Valuation Specialist may be responsible for some or all of the following: Manage and coordinate the valuation to ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budgetLiaise with the local offices in order to complete valuationsReview actuarial valuations, liability work and financial resultsResponsible for signing off on agreed calculation method/approximationsAs subject matter expert, provide guidance and interpretations to staffSecure resources and ensures proper staffing on projectsInterpret plan documentsTrain, advise and mentor staffAdhere to all peer review and project management requirementsReview and evaluate complex work performed by staffParticipate in staff performance evaluations BA/BS degree in business, mathematics, statistics, or related field; Actuarial designation (FSA, ASA or EA) preferred5-8 years relevant work experience, or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the principles behind a valuation.
Advanced level of project management, preferably using Mercer Project Management processesAnalytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to interpret complex plan documents, provisions and administrative practicesDemonstrated management and supervisory skillsAbility to work in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demandsAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsStrong focus on providing service to clientsExcellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communications skills
