Senior Product Manager SkillSoft Corporation Position Overview: SkillSoft is seeking a talented Product Manager to join our Product Marketing Team based in Nashua, NH. We are ideally seeking an individual with product management experience in technology based training software.
A key element to this position will be to provide selling strategies, product information, product knowledge and sales support to the SkillSoft direct sales and channel sales organizations.
To accomplish these goals the Product Manager will work closely with organizations such as Product Development, Marketing Communications, Sales, Professional Services and Client Services.
Position Responsibilities: The Product Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of product marketing for Web-based training products and services.
Participate in defining market needs and product requirements Develop product plans Define and build consensus around customer requirements for new product plans Researching competitor activity Position product in market Coordinate product launches.
Required Skills and Experience: Domain expertise includes Internet, Web Based Learning, SkillSoft Target Markets, Training Business, standards including AICC, SCORM, and accessibility as well as lifecycle models such as Waterfall, JAD, and RAD Working familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment Must be self starter and team player Highly organized and successful in making aggressive deadline commitments and meeting them Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong multi-tasking skills Technical knowledge of the Internet Familiarity with technology-based training software industry Familiarity with B2B product marketing for software or other high technology products Familiarity with mobile product technology Minimum BA/BS or related degree with 5-7 years experience in product management requiredMasters Degree preferred Company Overview: SkillSoft has been a leader in e-learning since 1989.
