Senior Medical Biller/Analyst Job in Troy 48083, Michigan US
Job Purpose: CTech is looking for a senior medical biller who can assume a key role in its day-to-day billing operations and assist in growing the organization.
CTech is a fast-growing concern looking to expand its revenue cycle business.
This is not an entry-level position.
Duties:
Responds to telephone inquires regarding patient accounts.
Contacts patients and insurance companies regarding past due accounts to include tracking co-pays and deductibles from insurance or patient.
Researches and analyzes patient accounts and CPT/ICD-9 codes used.
Generates Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial claims for information received after dates of service.
Generates and sends invoices to contract accounts.
Reviews and processes refunds, transfers and adjustments to patient accounts.
Reviews computer-generated insurance claim forms for accuracy.
Responds to inappropriate payment/denial by working EOBs.
Works correspondence daily.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Skills/Qualifications:
Legal Compliance, Quality Focus, Productivity, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Documentation Skills, Analyzing Information, General Math Skills, Resolving Conflict, Litigation, written and verbal skills.
Minimum 5 years computerized medical billing follow-up experience in a high volume medical setting, prefer knowledge of Radiology, Orthopedics, Family/Internal Medicine and Cardiology specialities.
Detailed knowledge of insurance billing to include CPT and ICD-9 coding, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, HMO, PPO, and Capitation.
