Senior Materials Planner Job in Santa Clara 95050, California US
Job Overview: Ownership via management, implementation and support of designated hardware products throughout all phases of the supply chain process while at the same time minimizing inventory, supporting revenue and delivering superior customer service.
Job Functions: Management and ownership of Hitachi Modular/Low-end hardware products in support of Demand Plan and SalesSupport/management of next generation product launchesCreate/manage process for tracking all product loans / evaluation / ICS units / non-GA hardwareProcurement of 3rd party products in support of Modular businessSupport all product financial requirements - ie Inventory reserves, product scraps, reduction of inventory categorized as On loan / Ship Not Rev Recognized, tracking of Modular Non Sales SNRR/OLSupport of Total Supply Chain Mgmt (TSCM) initiativesProduct information coordination with other Business UnitsDirect engagement with Product ManagementAd hoc reporting Primary Qualifications: BS/BA with at least 5+ years experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Planning or Business OperationsKnowledge of Oracle 11i, Excel, and Power PointAbility to maintain a highly scheduled work patternSelf-motivatedAbility to adapt to change and take on new challengesExcellent organizational skillsAttention to detail a mustGood written and verbal communication skills - International (ie Asia) experience a plusSuccessful time management skillsKeen critical thinking / problem solving (analytical) skillsNegotiation skillsAbility to influence others Other: no direct reportsno budget controlhigh scope of influencehigh impact of errorsno physical requirements
