Senior Manufacturing Analyst - Finance - Rapid Career Path Job in Rochester, New York US

· Perform financial analysis, as directed by management, and recommend alternatives courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools.
(eg EVA, NPV analysis)· Evaluate new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, new products, tax planning and spending initiatives by modeling alternative financial scenarios (eg revenues, profitability etc).
· Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses and profitability by modeling changes in key variables.
· Participates in / lead special projects including business profitability and cost analysis, acquisitions and debt financing· Responsible for recommending improvements to processes and implementing appropriate course of action to achieve these goals· Develop and utilize sound financial processes.
· Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports· Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance · Responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis.
Prepares financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations.
Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance.
Performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques.
Recommends alternative courses of action.
· Requires strong level ERP and financial reporting tools (ie SAP, Oracle, Hyperion etc)· Provide high level ad hoc financial reports· Cultivates a wide range of internal networks and begins to develop an external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks.
May demonstrate basic project management skills by acting as a project lead on small, well defined projects.
Provides guidance to less experienced staff.
Influence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management· Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.
Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays and may result in the allocation of additional resources Required Experience / Skill Set: · Requires a BS in Accounting, Finance or other directly related education· 4-6 years of experience in Financial Analytics Required· SAP Experience Highly Preferred· MBA or MS Required Ideal candidate would have a pure finance background, NOT accounting
