Senior Manager, Credit Risk Model Group Job in Mount Laurel, New Jersey US
Description **INTERNAL APPLICANTS PREFERRED** The position requires excellent interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain relationships with other business units, departments, industry groups, external organizations and regulatory bodies.
The position plays a consultative role by sharing specialized knowledge and providing reasons/ logic for own or bank decisions.
The position must impart similar skills to subordinates and provide mentioning in an environment conducive to the generation of new ideas and concepts .
Manage the development of methodology and model changes used for the scoring of Borrower Risk PD Develop and implement strategy around the conversion of existing models/peers /benchmarks from Canadian GAAP reporting to IFRS reporting.
Develop and implement a strategy for the redeployment of existing models, both as an integrated part of the credit platforms, and a stand-alone upgrade to Moody's RA. Review the production and analysis of summary reports from the bank's rating system, and monitoring of trends in key rating criteria .
Manage procedures to verify that rating definitions are consistently applied across departments and geographic areas Maintain expertise regarding the impact and assessment of credit risk on different business lines and ensure integrated and consistent borrower risk modeling across the organization.
Provide input into aspects of TD Bank policies involving credit risk modeling and provide expert advice to Credit Policy Group and Senior Management .
Ensure Borrower risk rating models are compliant with the Bank's internal policies, in-line with industry best practices and meet regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and direct development initiatives necessary in the updating of model parameters.
Maintain contact with regulators the Basel Program Office, and work closely with both the Wholesale and Commercial Banks, and other stakeholders to ensure business needs and specifications are met. Requirements Minimum 5 years Corporate or Commercial credit/lending experience with consistent above average performance Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail and accuracy Ability and flexibility to work in a changing and deadline orientated work environment An accounting designation CA, CMA, CGA is required Undergraduate degree preferably in Commerce.
MBA or CFA is desirable but not required Possess excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem solving skills
