com’s Movies team is looking for a motivated and talented Senior In Stock Manager.
This position is responsible for driving margin improvement by efficiently procuring product from vendors, optimizing the flow of goods to our fulfillment centers, and managing inventory.
The Senior In Stock Manager will be expected to develop strong relationships with vendors and find innovative ways to improve Amazon’s and vendors’ operational systems.
The successful candidate possesses superb business judgment, with a track record of successful relationship management, and strong analytical acumen, with experience generating and managing forecasts, reports, and analyses.
The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Areas of responsibility include: INVENTORY & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Work with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods.
Manage and develop inventory forecasts and open-to-buy budgets.
Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows, including forecasting, purchasing, and return of new and catalog products.
Recommend and drive action plans to reduce return/liquidation costs.
Manage inventory health.
Determine and execute exit strategies for unproductive inventory.
OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES Measure and improve vendor lead times, reduce operational defects, and improve systems to streamline operations between vendor partners and Amazon.
Communicate with vendors regarding operational performance metrics and recommend actions to lower operational costs, reduce defects, and enhance operational efficiency.
Perform root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and project manage improvements.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT Work with internal teams to help drive tools and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflows., with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually.
Develop analysis of key business metrics, with emphasis on developing and executing recommendations for improvement.
Troubleshoot and drive resolution for systemic issues that preclude margin enhancement.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures for effective process and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications Candidate must be adept at problem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently.
Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
Excel required- Access and SQL preferred.
Highly developed problem solving capabilities and analytics.
Finance, Business or Math background preferred.
Background in retail or e-commerce desired, not required.Six sigma training desired, not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think and react in a very high-energy, fast paced environment.
Operates as a team player, likes to have fun at work, and has a positive attitude.
