We are looking for a Senior Inventory Planner (In-Stock Manager) for management/leadership of high-growth and challenging product categories within the Baby store.
The Senior Inventory Planner is the leader on the Baby team responsible for driving system/process improvement in working with hundreds of vendors on order management, vendor operations, and inventory management.
The highly quantitative/analytical person will be responsible for financial analysis and decision making related to promotions, inventory purchasing, managing overstock inventory, operations processes, and improving efficiency.
The person will work with engineering teams across Amazon to optimize systems, such as those that generate forecasts and orders.
The Senior Inventory Planner (In-Stock Manager) is expected to be a leader beyond their respective categories to help define and drive projects to improve buying systems and processes necessary to position our retail store for long term growth.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, and/or product life cycles.
He/she must be able to manage large catalog selection, be solution-oriented & able to build/improve efficient processes.
This person will be highly analytical, flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and be comfortable with computer databases and tools.
He or she must have a proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced online environment.
Solid candidates will have hands-on, senior level operations or inventory management experience and knowledge in business operations.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to succeed: managing large catalog selection efficiently, identifying problems and finding solutions, building/improving processes.
The ideal candidate is able to operate clearly in an ambiguous environment.
He/she is also a team-builder, an effective communicator working with some of Amazon.
com's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and groups.The Senior Inventory Planner (In-Stock Manager) is a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon.To ensure the Senior Inventory Planner (In-Stock Manager) is successful, he or she must be able to: Show passion and commitment to make Amazon the global leader in online shopping for baby goods.
Operate at all levels - think strategically and tactically.
Rapidly expand and grow our retail business (Amazon-owned inventory).
Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.
Recognize and recommend opportunities to improve the customer shopping experience for baby.
Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation.
