Senior IT Business Analyst / Project Manager Job in New York, New York US
A Senior level Business Analyst and Project Manager is being sought for global projects in our client's Capital Markets Technology group.
Responsibilities: Provide proprietary technology solutions for global bond and loan syndication, sales, operations, origination and financePrepare agendas and chair various types of planning sessions and working meetings with business sponsors and developers to define project scope and requirementsExtensive interaction with business partners to identify, assess, prioritize, and document business requirementsExtensive interaction with internal and external development teams and quality assurance team to develop and implement solutions that meet business requirementsCreate and maintain project plans and other mechanisms to track the status of multiple projects concurrently and follow up with project team members to get updates; notify management team of project risks and issues and propose solutions to keep projects on trackDevelop wireframes, functional specifications, test plans, training plans, and project plansPlan, coordinate and execute user acceptance testing and signoffProvide software demonstrations and training when requiredExamples of Current Projects: Implementation of a flexible reporting platform and single data repository for investment grade bonds that combines deals to give a view of the overall primary investment grade bond marketRevitalization and globalization of an internal syndicated loan platformIntegration of the bond syndication and loan syndication platformsBusiness intelligence initiative to combine bond and loan reporting to give a big-picture view of investor and issuer activitySpecific Qualifications (items are required unless noted otherwise): Typically requires at least 8-10 years of experience with performing business analysis and definition to support large projects and business changeFixed income financial products, specifically investment grade corporate bonds, high yield bonds, preferred stock, asset-backed and mortgage-backed bonds and government bondsExperience with the bond and /or loan syndication process / debt capital markets is strongly desiredSuperior oral and written communication skillsBasic SQL or Access query writing skills are a plusExperience with Quality Center or comparable tool is a plusWorking knowledge of MS applications including MS Project and PowerPointBA or BS degree from an accredited 4 year university
