Responsibilities/Duties: As part of the GFIS IT team, you will be responsible for: - Supporting existing applications and developing new applications that utilize the .Ne
3. 5 Framework, VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#, SQL, and SQL Server Technologies.
- Supporting requests from all business groups including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, Compliance, Accounting, Finance, and Operations.
- Working on small and large cross-functional business projects.
Basic: - Minimum of a total of 5 years of progressive experience related to technical and analyst experience with emphasis on business application software development.
- Must have a strong application development skill set and be able to develop complex systems for a application development team responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of critical business applications using .NET Framework and SQL Server technologies.
- Minimum of 4 years of strong current technical experience in software application development utilizing sound object oriented design techniques in the .Net Framework utilizing C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.- Experience with traditional Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) like SQL Server.
- Ability to code and maintain business applications based on business requirements.
- Experienced in web application development, testing, configuration and implementation.
- Ability to troubleshoot .NET Framework related issues.
Educational Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems or a related field is required.
Preferred: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and on a team.
- Must have current demonstrated Project Leadership skills.
- Experience in Financial Service Industry, preferably Broker/Dealer.
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Systems.
- Microsoft Certifications like MCSD, MCP.
