This particular position supports both Manchester Street Station in Providence, RI and Fairless Energy, in Fairless Hills, PA. The position is based at Manchester Street Station.
Responsibilities include;- providing financial guidance to management and key employees that will assist them in achieving short and long term business strategies- developing and maintaining financial plans for Manchester Street Station and Fairless Energy.
These plans include the annual financial plan and the 5 year financial plan.
- developing and maintaining the monthly financial forecast for Manchester Street Station and Fairless Energy- performing financial analysis for daily operational decisions- developing and analyzing financial statements- benchmarking operational information with market and key competitor values- ensuring compliance with capital policy- providing fundamental business profitability analysis to management along with cost analysis, project analysis, and analysis of the financial impacts of various business strategies- serving on financial planning and analysis committees- assisting with end-of-year liability verification and entry- acting as payroll support, invoice coordinator, and corporate card reconciler- providing administrative station support in areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other station specific administrative tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have: - at least five years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field- knowledge in financial management and analysis- extensive knowledge of Excel and fluency in other Microsoft Office applications- a working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system- previous relevant utility/power generation industry experience- knowledge in accounting standards and practices- skills in organization and verbal and written communication- teaming, analytical and customer focus skills- the ability to work under limited supervision and direction- demonstrated expertise in consolidated financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, project financial analysis, and understanding of accounting, tax and financing principles.
