The Kessler Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our entrepreneurial, fast-paced, rapidly growing company.

While this position will be based in Boston, the Senior Analyst will provide support both to Kesslers domestic businesses.

This high-visibility position will have direct contact with Kesslers senior management as well as its high-profile clients.

The Senior Analyst will develop strategic analyses, market intelligence, financial models and other support materials for use on client engagements and investment banking transactions.

This individual will actively participate in many facets of each engagement.

Primary Responsibilities: Perform industry/portfolio analyses and develop financial models Build strategic models to evaluate potential new business arrangements Develop forecasts for credit card portfolios and businesses Support the investment banking unit on deal pursuit and closure Develop client-ready presentations summarizing strategic options and financial work Work on various other analytical projects as needed Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelors degree from four-year accredited college; MBA preferred Strong conceptual thinking: Ability to structure complex/ambiguous problems and to rapidly yet effectively develop and tailor frameworks for analysis · Comfort with a hypothesis driven/fact-based approach to problem solving · Appropriate use of the 80/20 rule in decision-making Experience with financial/quantitative analysis: · Minimum of 2 years experience in investment banking, or similar field requiring strong analytic/quantitative skills · Sound business judgment, comfort with ambiguity in developing assumptions and making recommendations · Experience with the development of pro-forma financial statements, valuation models or other complex quantitative models Effective communication skills · Ability to deliver clear, crisp messages to client and senior management · Ability to explain complex concepts and/or financial models in an answer first manner · Experience with the development of presentations with logical storylines and content flow Interpersonal skills · Desire to work in a fast-paced, professional environment · Willingness to work the necessary hours to deliver high-quality results under tight time frames · Ability to work independently and take initiative for ones own work · Ability to prioritize work and to manage multiple projects/internal customers Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint General knowledge of credit card industry: Knowledge of drivers of credit card industry and portfolio economics preferred
