Location - Louisville, KY; Rochester, NYSENIOR ENGINEERING TECHNICIANBASIC FUNCTIONThe Senior Engineering Technician provides support for projects, including creating sales orders, bill of material and assists with field in-service when projects are complete.

This position is responsible for detail check of circuits, design checks, breakdown testing, operational testing and continuity testing of electronic equipment, tags and pull sheets.

This position is a liaison between engineering and manufacturing during shop production.

This position also assists with training new employees and maintains manufacturing schedules.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGA.

Two year certificate (college or technical school) electrical or computer technology related.

High school diploma and four years related experience in Railroad Signal fieldC Basic knowledge of electrical theory and termsD Basic knowledge of circuit detailing and continuity testing of circuitsE Basic knowledge of wiring circuitsF Experience in shop productionG Experience in crossings installation and design.

TECHNICAL ABILITIESA.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordB Good typing skills.
