Senior Energy Manager Job in Chicago, Illinois US
The Sr. Energy Manager develops, implements and coordinates policies on matters involving fuel and electric energy conservation and procurement.
This position is the SME on energy related issues at a State and Federal level.
Responsible for price forecast and analysis of electricity and natural gas supply across the enterprise.
Leads development, maintenance and administration of electricity consumption and cost forecasting model.
May source, negotiate and administer supply contracts, with experience in renewable energy contracts preferred.
Assess risk of various energy pricing proposals from suppliers.
Advises management on the practical and necessary steps to conserve energy.
Requirements 5 years experience in energy procurement; expert in renewable energy contracts; Bachelor Degree or higher level of education; experience with industrial energy programs This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.
This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
