Senior Civil Engineer Job in east hanover 07936, New Jersey US
Burns & McDonnell has an exciting opportunity in our New Jersey office in our Aviation & Facilities group for a Senior Civil Engineer.
Job Duties: · May develop and evaluate plans for major projects.
· May coordinate departmental project studies, reports or project design assignments.
· Progressive design and project management responsibilities.
· Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
· Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.
· Some marketing responsibilities.
Qualifications: · A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
· A Minimum of 7 years of related experience (the completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of experience).
· A Professional Engineer with technical expertise in site development, utility services (ie.
domestic water, fire protection, sanitary sewer, natural gas, industrial waste, etc), site grading & drainage, storm water management systems, erosion control, utility profiles, roadway profiles, and pavement design.
· Aviation design and USGBC LEED experience is a plus.
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
· Previous consulting experience is preferred.
· Professional Engineer.
