Senior Business Analyst Job in Des Moines 50309, Iowa US
Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst with experience in Life Insurance processing and systems This resource will work on a key project to address contract compliance related issues within the Life Insurance division.
This analysis will include the following: Determine current and future state for each issue, work with other team members to identify appropriate solution, and follow-up to ensure solution addressed original issue.
Job Experience: Required Experience/Skills.
Excellent business analysis skills, communication skills, and collaboration skills are a must.
Six (6+) or more years of progressively responsible business analysis experience is required.
Proven experience in the Life Insurance discipline.

Highly skilled at interviewing stakeholders, facilitating business requirements meetings and documenting requirements.
Documentation MUST be well organized and easily understood by all audiences.
Skilled at conducting requirements walk through meeting with all audiences, updating requirements documents accordingly and securing appropriate approvals.
Skilled at analysis and analysis techniques (Documenting the current process, defining a new process, and analyzes the gap between those two states).

Understand the difference/distinction between business requirements and functional requirements and crafts documentation accordingly.
Ability to work independently and facilitate /lead discussion and meetings with business and project resources.
Must be capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders who are physically located outside of the Des Moines area.
Must be a self starter who thrives in an environment with a certain level and ambiguity.
Must readily adapt to the corporate culture.
It is critical this person have a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, Power Point, etc).
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Experience.
Prior experience with and Life Insurance administration and illustration systems.
Prior experience working with testing to ensure traceability from requirements to test cases.
