This hands-on development position requires heavy interaction with senior management, business partners, application developers and operational teams.
This individual will be a part of the Data Applications team to build new data services and products, as well as support and enhance existing applications in the Securities Classifications Business Unit.
General responsibilities include: Architect, design and develop industry-leading batch products and data services as part of a Service-Oriented ArchitectureClarify user requirements via interview and analysisProduce system design documents and participate in technical walkthroughsConduct user acceptance testingRespond to and resolve production issues in a timely manner on a 24 x 7 basisTrack and report project progress to appropriate parties Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required5+ years of hands-on development and maintenance of applications in a UNIX environment and strong knowledge of Oracle (Oracle SQL and PL/SQL) with basic knowledge of JAVA2+ years Informatica experienceA strong technical background, experience in data modeling, object-oriented design, and data analysisKnowledge of Web Services is a plusExperience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (RUP preferred)Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and organizational skillsHighly proficient with financial systems
