Systems Engineer Senior Analysts assists with designing, installing and configuring server infrastructures, planning and implementing enterprise technology infrastructures, designing network security and developing operations solutions to manage Microsoft and multi-vendor environments.
They consult with Avanade's Fortune 500 customers, using Microsoft technology to maximize existing IT investments and streamline management processes.
Minimum Requirements: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 1+ years experience working in an IT environment Knowledge of Network protocols/services and Network infrastructures Experience with Windows 2000 Server and Active Directory Knowledge of Non-Microsoft platforms (Novell, Unix, Linux, Macintosh, AS/400, mainframe) Knowledge of Internet application architecture (HTML, XML, IIS, Commerce Server) Some knowledge of Application development (Visual Basic, Visual C++, visual J++, Visual InterDev) Knowledge of BackOffice services experience (Exchange, SQL Server, Host Integration Server) Knowledge of security technologies and services Ability to travel 80% of the time to the customer location Strong customer service skills, verbal/written communication skills Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field Preferred Qualifications
