Senior Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis Job in Phoenix, Arizona US
This position is responsible to develop financial models, interpret the results of the financial models, and propose management solutions based upon the results from the financial model.
Functions: Create financial models by working with financial and operational leaders to determine what needs to be modeledGather the appropriate data for the model and develop the model in the appropriate medium (Excel, Access, Hyperion, or regression models)Interpret the results from the model to ensure that the model is working as intendedProvide value added management recommendations based upon the results from the modelsGather information from financial systems and other sources of information to use in the modelMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesPerform other duties as assigned or apparentCandidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum three to five plus years of progressively responsible experience in building complex financial models, interpreting the results from the models, and offering suggestions to operations based upon the results of the models.
Candidates MUST have regression modeling experience and also have advanced MS Excel skills.
Prior experience with Hyperion products is strongly preferred.
Candidates must possess excellent oral, written, and presentation skills as well as a high level of creative, conceptual, and strategic abilities to perform the duties listed above.
The selected Senior Analyst must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously as well as have the ability to plan and organize tasks to accomplish goals and objectives.
This person must be detailed oriented and able to work well independently.
