Senior Administrative Assistant Job in Des Plaines, Illinois US
Performs a variety of administrative functions.
Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation.
Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations.
Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports.
May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget.
Administrative and Quality Assurance Support
Use excel tools or other databases and software packages to track, monitor and generate report and charts on quality compliance, productivity, method creation and archival.
Be able to generate macros and pivot tables to improve and automate reports
Generate procedures and powerpoint training guides
Order and track supplies and equipment using procurement tools (SAP, ERP) Must be proficient in Microsoft word processing, experience using excel tools such as macros and pivot tables and graphs and database experience and have familiarity with a laboratory setting.
Requires a high school diploma with at least 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
May direct and lead the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
