Senior Accountant - Consolidations Job in New York, New York US
A Fortune 100 Company based in New York City is seeking a Senior Accountant in their Corporate Consolidations Group.

In this visible, challenging role you will be: Responsible for the supplemental financial information required to complete the company's Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows and GAAP Financial Statement footnotes and disclosures to include the quarterly and annual collection and consolidation of financial information from field locationsReview field submissions for accuracy and completeness and following up with the submittersPrepare reconciliation of the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow to ensure that financial activity is properly reflected in the Statement of Cash FlowsCoordinate the quarterly audit of the Statement of Cash Flow with external auditorsAssist in preparing Form 10Q and Annual Report footnotes and disclosures working with colleagues from Controller's Accounting Advisory Services DepartmentResearching information and preparing analysis for management when requestedAnalysis of acquisition related costs (including restructuring) and preparing monthly reportsSpecial projects requiring analytical skills and creativityThe candidate should be able to actively challenge current processes, communicate suggestions for improvement, and implement changes to increase effectiveness and efficiencySenior Accountant Qualifications: If you have 3-6 years of experience in a Fortune Corporate Accounting / Reporting group or have Big 4 experience with consolidations and inter-company accounting experience and are looking to work in a premier organization; this the opportunity for youThe successful candidate ideally will have: A Bachelor's degree in AccountingExperience with the preparation of the Statement of Cash Flow (desirable)A CPA is desirable5+ years of relevant work experiencePharma experience is considered a plusExperience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plusFluency in Microsoft Office applications is requiredStrong oral and written communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
