TEKsystems has partnered with a large financial services company who has an immediate need for a Security Architect.

The Security Architect is responsible for identifying current and emerging IT vulnerabilities, for championing security standards and processes, review security architecture, and plan, develop and implement IT Security remediation programs.

In this role he will be an individual contributor, working proactively with various groups to identify security opportunities and to devise available solutions by providing security expertise on complextechnology issues.

This position requires an extremely technical leader, knowledgeable about security issues, adept at managing and running multiple tools, who takes ownership, demonstrates accountability and has a reputation of following through to deliver results.

Under the guidance of the Head, Network & Information Security, the Security Architect works in conjunction with his peers in the realm of Application Security, Network Security, Security Operations, and Compliance to develop and integrate security into an end-to-end enterprise architecture.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required as well as the ability to work collaboratively in the enterprise environment.

Essential Job responsibilities would include

1. Developing and maintaining an I/T vulnerability management model for the organization.

This includes: (1) determining vision for I/T vulnerability management; (2) identifying and rating various sources of vulnerability; and, (3) identifying an asset value each identified source; (4) establish a methodology to periodically measure and report on the vulnerability; (5) establish a remediation plan, including patching, network and host firewall rules, antivirus/malware protection, intrusion detection systems.

Be adept at tools such as network vulnerability management tools such as Qualys Enterprise Vulnerability manager, GFI Languard, Nessus, Mcafee EPO, etc.2) Leading the evaluation and selection of hardware and software security products especially in the realm of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and End Point Security.

3. Be the enterprise security subject matter expert (SME) on security issues, standards and compliance related to: VMWARE ESX 35 Help enterprise migrate to ES

4. 0 and vSphere, Solaris 10 security including the BSM module and Red Hat Linux.

4. Be the enterprise security subject matter expert on detecting system intrusions and events using a SEM (Security Event Management) and be knowledgeable about log collection, log monitoring, event categoriesand event classes, for the following types of logs :Windows Server 2003/2008, Exchange, Sharepoint; Mac OSXUnix: Solaris 10 security including the BSM module, Red Hat LinuxDatabases: Oracle 10g and 11g, MS SQL Server 2005/2008VMWARE ESX 355) Be the enterprise security subject matter expert on monitoring web sites, mailing lists and other security related media and/or resources for security advisories, analyzes advisories and distributes information toappropriate information owners to enable patching of above platforms6 Be the enterprise security subject matter expert on antivirus/antispyware/antimalware and be knowledgeable about Mcafee EPO7 Be the enterprise security subject matter expert on intrusion detection protection (IDS)8 Provide leadership in the update of organization IT policies and standards.

Essential Job Functions: Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or information systems.

Experience: Minimum of seven to ten years experience in information security or related areas.

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, SANS GIAC GSEC or other security certifications desirable.

Vendor Certifications: Qualys, McAfee, or other security vendor certifications desirable.IT Standards & Compliance: Be knowledgeable about build standards from NIST/Checklist, SCAP and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmark & vendors such as Sun for Solaris, Microsoft from Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, Sharepoint, etc., VMware for ESX, etc. Familiar with SANS Top20, OWASP, SCAP (CVE, CWE, CVSS) etc.Operating systems: Windows, Solaris, Linux, VmWare ESXSecurity Tools (mandatory): Qualys Enterprise, McAfee EPO, VMWare ESX (vSphere)Security Tools (desired): PGP, MySQL, Oracle Databases and Applications, MS Exchange, Protocols / Transports: DHCP, NetBIOS, WINS, DNS, UDP, SNMP, TCP/IP, FTP, sFTP, SSH, SMTP, HTTP/SSL, IPsec, SMB, RPC, NFS, NIS, RADIUS.

General Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, time management and problem solving skills areessential.

Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills a must, including ability to interact effectively with executives, vendors, technical project teams, and others.

Experience in vendor management, and service/product selection.

Demonstrated ability to handle and to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Demonstrated Project Management experience.
