Scientific Associate: Cell Biology Job in Cambridge 02139, Massachusetts US
RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join an Ophthalmology group with our client to support discovery and characterization of therapeutic antibodies.
Candidate responsibilities will include the design, development and implementation of a broad range of in vitro and cell-based assays to support the generation and characterization of therapeutic antibodies for the treatment of ophthalmic diseases.
The successful candidate is expected to have experience in designing, optimizing and performing various assay formats such as ELISA and cell-based bioassays in a drug discovery environment.
Experience with standard molecular biology techniques such as sub-cloning, vector design, PCR, and recombinant protein expression is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS Minimum of 3 years experience in tissue culture techniques and cell-based assays, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry; broad scientific foundation, strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication, and ability to excel in an interdisciplinary team setting are essential.
Candidate must be well organized and able to work independently to plan and execute experiments and interpret results.
Candidates MUST live local and be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
