Sales Specialist - 2198 MS Job in Van Nuys 91406, California US
SUMMARY The Sales Representative is responsible for selling customized whole blood collections programs, transfusable products, and therapeutic services to hospitals within an assigned territory in accordance with established company guidelines and for meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Subsequently, responsible for selling hospitals branded whole blood collection programs to blood drive sponsor organizations in hospitals service areas.
Concentration is on new account development and/or expanding existing accounts to ensure high level of customer and sponsor satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities Meets or exceeds sales and profitability targets and assigned individual objectives Develops and executes Territory Sales Plan Analyzes market trends and monitors competitors sales, pricing, products and service offerings to develop creative methods to generate greater sales from both existing and new accounts Prepares management reports including sales production and forecasts, sales contacts and account order volumes Obtains sales contracts within company pricing guidelines Works within approved expense guidelines Responsible for developing and maintaining overall relationship between HemaCare and all appropriate contacts at all accounts and sponsors within assigned territory Manages territory sales, including account management, promotion and follow-up on the utilization of HemaCare products and services to result in profitable sales Informs accounts of HemaCare products and services features and trends by maintaining technical knowledge in assigned products and services lines Shares sales intelligence with affected HemaCare team members Proactively interfaces with Operations to help ensure high customer and sponsor satisfaction Assists with resolution of accounts receivable matters Completes any special tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor Responsible for maintaining and increasing HemaCare customer goodwill in assigned territory Regularly attends company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings Education, Experience and Licensure Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field, required 5+ years of successful medical sales experience in hospital environment Must be able to show proof of sales rankings and awards covering a multi-year period Full understanding of the hospital healthcare marketplace Ability to sell at all levels within the hospital environment ranging from laboratory technologists up through and including the executive level Clinical experience, preferred Experience in blood banking, hematology or oncology, preferred
