Sales Executive, Sales Engineer - greater Baltimore, MD areaDescriptionThe Sales Executive is responsible for selling Demand Response (DR) and Energy Management (EM) related services to targeted Commercial and Industrial (C&I) prospects.

They will use a consultative sales approach to develop long-term customer relationships to maximize revenues and profits.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and close new business opportunities in the region Develop and implement an overall plan to grow the Comverge customer base through the development of business relationships with direct C&I prospects and targeted alliance relationshipsUtilize your existing network to build new partnerships to secure contracts with facility owners, operators, and marketing partners to generate annual profitable revenue targetsMarket and execute contracts with electric consumers who are capable of modifying their operation to integrate with Comverge programsContract negotiation for energy management related services with prospective customersEstablish a clear and effective transition plan for new customers to become fully integrated into Comverge operationsQualificationsMinimum of 5+ years energy, energy services, and/or DR and EM related work experience with significant experience in channel sales and direct business-to-business salesThe successful candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering, or related field Established network of key business contacts with a consistent and proven track record of successfully closing business in the Energy verticalAnalytical and problem solving skills; specifically, the ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex customer business problemsAptitude for energy systems and financial analysis Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are required along with the ability to effectively position Comverge products and value propositions within the context of the customers' business modelOther ConsiderationsComverge is seeking an aggressive, self-confident, self-motivated individual with a strong customer focus and the ability to relate well to people at all organizational levels internally and externally.
