Sales Engineer - Contact Center Hosted SIP Access Job in Chicago, Illinois US
Job DescriptionThe Sales Engineer for Specialized Sales is a critical role for the success of Verizon Business IP Contact Center product line.
Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager, the Sales Engineer is responsible for the following: Identify, qualify, design, develop, present and assist the pre-sales efforts of the CCS Services Sales Team (IPCC Product Line SIP based inbound contact center access solutions) Design and drive technical presentations with customers resulting in closed sales opportunities Perform as the lead technical member of account/sales team Assist in development and delivery of training sessions to the direct sales and technical teams Analyze needs of the Sales team and create supporting documentation or tools to better equip the team in the sales process Share knowledge and experience to enhance the technical capabilities of peers Achieve mastery (Technical, Product, Competitive, Industry knowledge and Sales Acumen) of Verizon's VoIP/CCS services and product offerings.
RequirementsWorking Knowledge: A qualified candidate will have a basic knowledge of: Cisco suite of IP Telephony and CCS solutions Avaya suite of IP Telephony and CCS solutions Service Provider Toll Free, IVR and VoIP solutions Managed services model and the relevance of these services to an IP enabled voice network Exceptional knowledge of the network services market focusing on network and premise IP ACD and hosted TDM and IP IVR services Experience with multi-site configurations and hybrid (IP & TDM) environments with more than 1000 end-points, in a consulting or large system administration role.
Fortune 1000 companies experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (technical documentation and client communication) Well-established track record of delivering on developed strategies and specific objectives on time and at budget Experience leading and/or participating on cross-functional teams to win new business and grow market share Posses, or the ability to acquire, VoIP industry technical certifications.
Experience/Requirements: BS Degree in engineering or Information Technology or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Must have one or more of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) Either Internetworking or Voice Track Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) Avaya ACE or equivalent PBX certification Genesys GV

Skills & Abilities: Recent experience with station- and/or trunk - side SIP designs.
PBX engineering design background (Avaya, Nortel or Cisco preferred) with professional level certifications on at least one major IP ACD Manufacturer's product set. Legacy TDM/PSTN-LEC knowledge and experience in Centrex and PRI/T1 voice services and trunking.
Deep knowledge in IP suite of protocols including QoS, Security and routing as they relate to IP enabled voice solutions.
Experience in designing and selling solutions for enterprise customers.
Strong presentation skills to mid and upper level technical management within customer organizations.
