Safety Coordinator Job in Walnut Creek, California US
We are actively recruiting for our client in the Walnut Creek/Concord, CA area for a Laboratory Safety Coordinator position.
This is a Temporary or Temporary-to-Direct Hire opportunity, depending on the selected candidate, for an excellent healthcare organization.The primary responsibilities of the Laboratory Safety Coordinator will initially focus on MSDS documentation and the reconciliation of documentation for hazardous materials and chemical inventory.
The position may also progress to include other duties: Preparation of safety reports Research and update information from Local, State and Federal regulatory entities Prepare for and conduct safety inspections Preparation and presentation of safety training Maintenance of safety related records.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1 year of safety related experience, healthcare and/or laboratory experience is preferred At least an Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree is preferred, a healthcare or safety related education is preferred Strong communication skills, both written and spoken Intermediate skill level with Word, Excel and Outlook Preparation of safety reports Other duties as related to safetyPay: $21.00-$25.00/hrIMMEDIATE OPENING safety, msds, laboratory, lab, material safety data sheet, compliance, EPA, CAP, Joint Commission, health, hazardous, training, healthcare, clinical, clinic,
